The SSRO is consulting on planned updates to the compliance and review methodology. The proposals include: aligning our key performance indicators to the SSRO’s Corporate Plan 2025-2026; clarifying our report review priorities depending on resource availability; and providing more flexibility for when the SSRO may raise issues on reports.
We believe our proposed updates specifically addresses feedback received from industry stakeholders about the fairness of making comparisons between contractors based on the previous “correct first time” indicator. The amendments to our report review process removes the requirement to wait at least 15 working days for potential MOD responses, providing more options for when the SSRO can provide feedback. The SSRO’s current compliance methodology was published on 10 October 2024, implementing minor amendments after the introduction of components to the single source regime in April 2024.
